Fine Arts experiences sought for mentorship program
The Clay County PALS are pleased to announce it has once again been selected to receive a grant from the Walden Charitable Foundation for the 2023 year.
This year’s grant funds have been earmarked to provide opportunities for exposure to the fine arts for our mentees and their mentors.
“PALS is grateful for this generous donation by the Walden Family and we appreciate their trust in our mentorship program,” explained Susan Christensen, PALS Coordinator. “In the past, we have used our Walden Grant Funds for a variety of projects. This year, we’re going to finance opportunities for the children and their mentors to participate in a variety of fine arts experiences.”
Throughout the year, the adult mentors and their mentees are encouraged to participate in fine arts experiences of their choosing with reimbursement provided by the grant. The entire group will also travel to Sioux Falls’ Washington Pavilion in the summer of 2023 for a group event to include theatre and museum exposure.
We are grateful for the Walden Family’s support!
