HISTORY HAYDAY! The Clay County PALS made a trip to Jackson, Minnesota, to take in the Ft. Belmont Pioneer Days today. Our numbers were down for the event due to poor timing before school reconvenes for the year. But our little gaggle had a lot of fun and enjoyed great, hands-on learning about the pioneers. Minnesota’s Jack Sparrow was at the fort, which made an EXTRA exciting day. We’re grateful for grant funds provided by the Walden Family Foundation to cover our day, which included a big Sunday lunch, fun and home made pie at the fort, time at Spirit Lake’s Splash Pad and Blizzards at the Milford DQ.
